MEET YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Care shaped by experience. Built around you.
Melissa Westergard, PT, DPT, is a licensed physical therapist with over a decade of experience across home-based, mobile, outpatient, and hospital settings. As the founder of The Foundry PT + Performance, she believes recovery is not simply about reducing pain—it is an opportunity to restore movement, rebuild capacity, and develop lasting strength.
Outside of clinical practice, Melissa’s athletic background includes competitive running and cycling, and she is continuing to pursue her professional bodybuilding career. Her own training has given her a personal appreciation for disciplined preparation, thoughtful progression, and the many different ways people define performance.
Melissa provides individualized physical therapy addressing conditions that affect movement, mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and physical function, with specialized services in dry needling, TMJ & jaw pain, vestibular rehabilitation, and neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Her goal is to help each client become stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the life they want to lead.
WHAT WE DO
Care for the way you want to live.
The Foundry bridges the gap between traditional rehabilitation and lifelong physical performance. Every service is individualized, goal-driven, and delivered with the time needed to do it well.
01 · PHYSICAL THERAPY
Recover with a clear plan.

02 · PERFORMANCE
Build strength that carries over.
Progressive strength and conditioning for active adults, athletes, and anyone ready to move beyond basic rehabilitation toward higher-level capacity and confidence.
03 · HEALTHY AGING
Stay capable for the long run.
Personalized training focused on strength, balance, mobility, power, and resilience so you can continue doing the activities that make life feel like yours.
04 · DRY NEEDLING
Target movement limitations.
Dry needling may be incorporated into a treatment plan or offered as a stand-alone session to address pain, muscle tension, and movement restrictions.
05 · TMJ & JAW PAIN
Reduce pain. Restore movement.
Individualized physical therapy for TMJ/TMD, including jaw pain, clicking, stiffness, headaches, and limited jaw mobility. Treatment addresses the jaw, surrounding musculature, cervical spine, and posture through targeted exercise, manual therapy, education, and dry needling when appropriate.
06 · VESTIBULAR REHABILITATION
Restore balance and confidence.
Specialized evaluation and treatment for dizziness, vertigo, balance dysfunction, and vestibular conditions, with individualized strategies to improve stability, mobility, and confidence in daily life.
07 · NEUROLOGIC REHABILITATION
Move with greater confidence.
Individualized physical therapy for neurodegenerative conditions, including Parkinson’s disease and MS, with emphasis on strength, balance, gait, mobility, function, and maintaining independence.
WHY “THE FOUNDRY”
Strength is built with intention.
A foundry is a place where something is shaped, strengthened, and refined. That idea guides our approach to movement: thoughtful assessment, purposeful work, and steady progress toward a body that is more capable and resilient.
Individual, not standardized
Your plan reflects your history, goals, environment, and current capacity—not a generic protocol.
Clinical first
Every program is grounded in movement science, skilled examination, and appropriate progression.
Built to last
The goal is not simply to feel better today, but to build the physical capacity to keep doing what matters tomorrow.
